Job Description

• Repair and maintain all equipment associated with the Rendering Plants operations.
• Ensures that all equipment including facility interior, exterior and tools are maintained to achieve maximum operating efficiency
• Performs plant maintenance, construction, installation of new equipment, adjustments and repair of equipment as needed
• To lay out and plan projects as directed by supervision and ensure all carts, tools and support equipment are made available for the successful completion of such projects
• To maintain an available supply of parts, rebuilt gearboxes and other equipment to help minimize down time
• Ensures that all equipment including facility interior, exterior and tools are maintained to achieve maximum operating efficiency
• Performs plant maintenance, construction, installation of new equipment, adjustments and repair of equipment as needed
• Performs required paperwork as required by the SAP PM program

Qualifications

• Must have experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and make “on the spot” correction
• Must be competent in welding (arc and heli arc) using a cutting torch and fabrication
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision
