PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Kroger Business Insights incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Kroger Sales Team’s pursuit of incremental profitable volume and cost reduction activities through the application of 8451 Shopper Data and Market 6 Sale Execution Data.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Deep analysis of 8451 Shopper data for profitable volume growth opportunities
Deep analysis of Market 6 Sales Execution data for promotion forecasting and growth and cost reduction opportunities
Convert insights data into powerful customer presentations. Lead the category insights portions of customer sales presentations.
Work with marketing to develop effective new item presentations and provide performance insights and actions.
Support Kroger Category Managers’ ad-hoc request for insights on Foster Farms activities
Additional projects as assigned
Travel will be required.
Weekend work may be required.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Science.
Must have 5+ years recent Category Development, Marketing or Sales experience with HQ activity.
Possess strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex data in a concise, articulate, effective manner to individuals and groups.
Ability to generate innovative approaches and new or improved solutions to business issues.
Ability to anticipate trends, situations, or changing marketing conditions based on data insights and take appropriate, timely action.
Ability to learn complex concepts quickly and independently.
Advance proficiency with Computer business tools and systems (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Syndicated data systems, etc).
Advance proficiency with deep data analysis for effective business insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possesses strong inter-personal skills and has the ability to cultivate positive business relationships.
Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure situations
Sales skills including negotiation, account management, account penetration, and strategic selling.
