Job Description

  • To administer first aid treatment to injured or ill Team Members. To monitor, treat and provide follow-up on work-incurred injuries and to assess and evaluate potential work-incurred injuries.
  • Evaluate, treat (per standing orders) and advise.  Schedule medical appointment when necessary and provide follow-up care per doctor orders.
  • Coordinate/communicate with Forepersons, Superintendents, Worker’s Compensation and external medical providers to insure proper medical treatment of injured Team Member.  Maintain current and accurate medical records for each Team Member
  • Coordinate Company activities
  • Coordinate annual hearing tests
  • Participate in safety training
  • Maintain weekly safety statistics.  Provide information to Forepersons, Superintendents, Plant Managers, Operations Manager, Director of Operations and Human Resources, as needed
  • Maintain adequate medical inventory
  • Administration of worker’s compensation documentation
  • Participating in community-related activities (e.g. Relay for Life)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid unencumbered LVN license in the State of Louisiana or a compact state license. CPR/AED certified.  
  • Preferred: Wound care experience, employee health experience, knowledge of OSHA
  • Proficient in MS Office
